Better Bins Moving Bin Rentals Terms of Service
By purchasing, utilizing, or accessing the services of Better Bins Moving Bin Rental, you confirm that you have read and accepted the following Terms of Service.
Definitions and Interpretation
For the purposes of these Terms of Service (hereinafter, the “Agreement”), the following terms shall have the meanings ascribed to them below:
“Renter,” “You,” or “Your” shall mean the individual or entity that purchases, accesses, or otherwise utilizes the Services provided by Better Bins and thereby agrees to be bound by the terms of this Agreement.
“Better Bins,” “We,” “Us,” or “Our” refers to Better Bins Moving Bin Rentals, including its employees, agents, representatives, and any other persons or entities for whom Better Bins is legally responsible.
“Party” or “Parties” shall refer individually to either the Renter or Better Bins, and collectively to both.
“Services” shall refer to all products, programs, offerings, and services provided or made available by Better Bins through its Website, including but not limited to the rental, delivery, and retrieval of Equipment.
“Equipment” shall mean all tangible property rented to the Renter under this Agreement, including, without limitation, moving bins and any related accessories.
“Rental Period” shall refer to the duration of time for which the Equipment is rented to the Renter, as indicated on the applicable invoice issued by Better Bins.
“Website” means the official website of Better Bins, located at betterbins.ca, including all content, functionality, and services offered therein.
These Terms of Service shall apply to all individuals or entities that access or use the Services and/or Equipment. Any references to defined terms in the singular shall include the plural and vice versa; references to one gender shall include all genders; and use of capitalized or uncapitalized forms shall be interpreted interchangeably unless expressly stated otherwise.
Care and Responsibility
When you access or use our services, you declare that you meet the legal age requirement in your province or state. The Renter acknowledges and agrees that the Renter assume full responsibility for the care, custody, and control of all Best Bins rental equipment while it is in their possession. The Renter accepts full liability for any loss, theft, or damage to the bins during the rental period.
In the event that a bin or dolly is lost, stolen, or returned in damaged condition (beyond normal wear and tear), the Renter agrees to pay the damage/replacement fee.
Scheduling and Availability
The Renter acknowledges and accepts full responsibility for scheduling and being available during the agreed-upon drop-off and pick-up times for the Better Bins.
If the Renter needs to reschedule an appointment, a minimum of 24 hours’ notice is required. Failure to provide adequate notice may result in additional delivery or cancellation fees, which will be charged to the Renter’s credit card on file.
Access and Equipment Handling
The Renter grants Better Bins and its authorized representatives the right to access the property at the designated delivery and pick-up address for the purpose of delivering and retrieving rental equipment at the scheduled times.
The Renter agrees that equipment shall only be released to an official Better Bins employee or authorized partner, and not to any third party without prior written consent.
Rental Duration
Better Bins requires a minimum rental duration of seven (7) days. If the Renter utilizes the equipment for a shorter timeframe, the standard seven rental fee will still apply, regardless of early return.
Ownership and Use Restrictions
The Renter agrees to retain full custody of the equipment for the duration of the rental period and shall not sublease, lend, rent, sell, or otherwise transfer possession or rights to any third party.
All rented equipment remains the sole property of Better Bins and is provided to the Renter solely for temporary use under the terms of this agreement.
Cleanliness Requirement
The Renter acknowledges and agrees to return all bins in reasonably clean condition, free from any foreign materials including but not limited to stickers, adhesive residue, pet hair, liquids, or excessive dirt. In the event that a bin is returned dirty the Renter agrees to a partial or full deduction to be made from your cash deposit.
Service Area Policy
Better Bins offers its services exclusively to clients located within our designated delivery zones for both the drop-off and collection of rental equipment. To verify if your address falls within our coverage area, please consult the "Service Area" section on our website. If your location is outside our standard service boundaries, we encourage you to contact us directly, as we may be able to make special arrangements to accommodate your needs.
Indemnification and Liability Waiver
The Renter agrees to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Better Bins, including its officers, employees, agents, and affiliates, from and against any and all claims, demands, actions, proceedings, liabilities, damages, losses, expenses, or costs (including reasonable legal and attorney fees) arising out of or related to the possession, use, misuse, or return of the rented equipment.
The Renter assumes full responsibility for the equipment while in their custody, including its operation and safe return in good working condition. Better Bins, its employees, officers, and agents shall not be held liable for any injury, loss, or damage to persons or property resulting from the use of the equipment by the Renter or any third party.
The Renter further agrees to hold Better Bins harmless from any and all liability and expenses, including attorney’s fees, arising from any claim, action, or proceeding brought by any individual in connection with the use or handling of the rented equipment. In the event of legal action, the Renter shall be responsible for all related legal fees and costs incurred by Better Bins.
Return Responsibility and Extended Rental Fees
The Renter acknowledges and agrees that the Renter are solely responsible for ensuring the timely return of all Better Bins and equipment by the agreed-upon return date.
If the bins and equipment are not returned by this date, the Renter will incur an additional rental fee for each day the bins remain unreturned which will be a partial of full deduction from your deposit.
In cases where the bins and equipment are not returned within 30 days and no prior arrangements or communication to extend the rental has been made, it will be considered a purchase. The Renter will be charged $45 per bin and $125 per dolly as the full replacement cost.
Warranty and Condition of Equipment
Better Bins warrants that all rental equipment provided under this agreement will be in good working condition and free from significant defects as of the start date of the rental period.
This warranty is limited to the repair or replacement of any product that, upon inspection by Better Bins, is found to be defective or not in proper working order. The Renter must promptly notify Better Bins of any issues with the equipment.
Better Bins’ sole responsibility under this warranty is to either repair or replace the affected item at its discretion. No other warranties, express or implied, are provided beyond the terms stated herein.
Cancellation Policy
The Renter may cancel their order free of charge provided that notice is given at least 24 hours prior to the scheduled delivery or pick-up time.
In the event the equipment has already been delivered, the Renter may still cancel the order. A $50 restocking fee will be applied for post-delivery cancellations.
Delivery and Pick-Up Fees
Delivery and pick-up of rental equipment may be subject to a service fee, which will be clearly outlined at the time of booking.
Standard delivery and pick-up within our service area are included unless otherwise stated. Additional fees may apply for deliveries outside the regular service zone, expedited service requests, or changes to scheduled appointments without sufficient notice.
All applicable delivery fees will be disclosed prior to payment and charged to the credit card on file.
Failure to Facilitate Equipment Return
In the event that the Renter fails to schedule a pick-up date and time, refuses or otherwise obstructs Better Bins’ attempt to retrieve the Equipment, or is not present at the designated pick-up location at the agreed-upon time, Better Bins reserves the right to assess additional charges. Such failure may result in the imposition of a penalty due to disruption of scheduling and the unavailability of the Equipment for subsequent customers.
Better Bins shall be entitled to charge the Renter the applicable daily rental rate, in addition to a daily penalty fee, per bin for each day the Equipment remains in the Renter’s possession beyond the expiration of the Rental Period. Furthermore, Better Bins shall be entitled to apply additional pick-up charges in accordance with the rates set forth in the Delivery and Pick-Up Fee Schedule for each unsuccessful retrieval attempt.
Should the Equipment not be successfully recovered within fourteen (14) calendar days following the conclusion of the Rental Period, Better Bins reserves the right to charge the Renter the full replacement value of the unreturned Equipment, as specified in the applicable fee schedule.
Privacy Commitment
At Better Bins, we prioritize your privacy. We collect personal information solely to deliver our services effectively, and we do so transparently and with your consent. Information is gathered through lawful means and retained only as long as necessary to fulfill the services you've requested.
We implement commercially reasonable measures to protect your data from loss, theft, unauthorized access, disclosure, copying, use, or modification. We do not share your personally identifiable information publicly or with third parties, except as required by law.
Our website may include hyperlinks to third-party websites that are not under our control. Please note that we are not responsible for the content, privacy practices, or policies of these external sites. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party sites you visit, as we cannot accept responsibility for their practices or content.
You have the option to withhold personal information, understanding that this may limit our ability to provide certain services. Continued use of our website will be regarded as acceptance of our privacy practices.

Force Majeure
Neither party shall be held liable for any failure or delay in the performance of its obligations under this Agreement where such failure or delay is caused by circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, natural disasters, extreme weather, fire, flood, pandemic, war, terrorism, civil unrest, labor strikes, governmental actions, power outages, or failures of third-party service providers (each a “Force Majeure Event”).
In the event of a Force Majeure Event, the affected party shall promptly notify the other party in writing, providing reasonable details of the nature of the event and its expected duration. The obligations of the affected party shall be suspended for the duration of the Force Majeure Event, and the time for performance shall be extended accordingly.
If the Force Majeure Event continues for a period exceeding fourteen (14) days, either party shall have the right to terminate this Agreement without penalty by providing written notice to the other party.
Agreement Modifications
Better Bins reserves the right to update, amend, or modify the terms of this rental agreement at any time, without prior formal notice.
However, any rental agreements signed prior to such changes will remain valid and enforceable as originally written and agreed upon, provided the Renter include a confirmed customer signature.
Notification of Changes
These Terms and Conditions were last updated on June 22, 2025. Better Bins reserves the right to update, modify, or revise these terms at any time without prior notice. Continued use of our services after any changes are posted will constitute your acknowledgment and acceptance of the updated terms.
We encourage all customers to review these Terms and Conditions periodically to stay informed of any modifications.
By placing an order and/or using our services, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to the full Terms and Conditions set forth in this agreement.
Additionally, as our website is hosted on the Squarespace platform, you also agree to be bound by the Squarespace terms of service, along with all referenced policies, terms, and conditions.
